I hope to produce photographs that capture the essential personality of the birds I see. It’s not too difficult with the feisty birds, like the Pygmy Owl or a Calliope Hummingbird. It’s harder with the tiny little guys, like the Ruby-crowned Kinglet, who seem to spend their life flitting from branch to branch!
My hope with my wildlife photographs is that they will put the viewer in my shoes when I came upon the animal that I’m photographing. I’m just fine with imperfect photographs, as long as they reflect the unique personality of the critters.
